A little about us

Californian Blonde is a boutique salon in Kangaroo Point where relaxed luxury meets exceptional colour. We built this place around a feeling as much as a service - calm, considered, and unhurried, somewhere you can switch off for a few hours and leave feeling like yourself again.

We're a small, tight team led by an award-winning colour educator, and we take our craft seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. No conveyor belt, no rush, no trend-chasing, just genuine care and colour done properly.

Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you'll get the same considered attention from people who love what they do.

What we do

While blonde may be in our name, it's not all we do. It's our signature, naturally — bespoke balayage, hand-painted foils, and expert colour corrections, each crafted to grow out as beautifully as they begin, so your colour complements your life rather than complicating it. But we're a full-service team too: rich all-over colour, brunettes, precision cuts, styling, and treatments to keep everything healthy between visits.

    Holly

    FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

    Holly is the founder of Californian Blonde and the reason it exists at all. An award-winning colourist and educator, she's spent years specialising in soft, lived-in blonde, and now teaches other stylists around the country how to do the same.

    She built the salon from a single chair into the calm, considered space it is today, with a team she's proud of and a standard she won't cut corners on.

    Expect exceptional colour, a genuinely warm welcome, and a colourist who truly loves what she does.

    SENIOR STYLIST

    Originally from the UK, Beth brings over ten years of hairdressing experience to Californian Blonde. Her specialty is beautifully blended blonde and hair health - soft, seamless colour that not only looks incredible but keeps your hair in beautiful condition too.

    Precise, considered, and genuinely warm, she has a way of putting you at ease the moment you sit down.

    Whether it's a subtle refresh or a bigger transformation, you're in expert hands.

    Shannon is our emerging stylist, and three years in, she's already one to watch.
